TEKenable has folded Salesforce consultancy Tether into its main brand after growth in the group's Salesforce business in Ireland and the UK.

The Irish software services company said it had doubled its Salesforce customer base since acquiring Tether in 2023. It also doubled the average size of project deliveries, with much of that growth coming from larger enterprise work.

Before the acquisition, Tether operated in Ireland and the UK. TEKenable bought the consultancy to strengthen its Salesforce business, and said integration with its wider operations has helped the combined team take on larger transformation programmes.

The rebrand marks the next stage in TEKenable's effort to expand its Salesforce practice across both markets. It is also preparing to add staff as it expects its customer base to grow.

Growth plans

Management said it sees further opportunities in both private and public sector work, as customers review the number of technology suppliers they use and look to bring together functions such as customer relationship management, service management, finance, field service, integration, data and AI within broader digital projects.

The company said that demand spans industries including financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, utilities, telecommunications and renewable energy, as well as organisations with complex customer and operational processes.

TEKenable is targeting work across several parts of the Salesforce platform, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, AI and Field Service. It said customers increasingly want sales, service, data and operations systems connected within a single environment.

The company describes itself as an Irish technology and services business with operations in Ireland, the UK, Spain, South Africa, Pakistan and the UAE. It works across sectors including healthcare, financial services, agri-food, aviation and the public sector, and is a partner of both Microsoft and Salesforce.

Brand integration

Bringing Tether fully into the TEKenable name reflects closer alignment between the teams following the acquisition, the business said. It linked the decision to a wider push to win more complex programmes rather than narrower technology assignments.

"Bringing Tether fully under the TEKenable brand is the natural next step for the business and reflects how closely our teams and capabilities are now aligned. We see significant potential to build on that momentum across Ireland and the UK, as organisations increasingly look for partners that can support more complex transformation programmes rather than individual technology projects.

"The opportunity extends across the Salesforce platform. Organisations want to bring sales, customer service, finance, vertical solutions, digital engagement, data, AI and operational processes together, rather than address each area in isolation. Our combined Salesforce and wider transformation expertise means we can help customers modernise complex processes, improve customer and employee experiences, and scale with greater confidence," said Nick Connors, Chief Executive Officer of TEKenable.

TEKenable did not disclose financial terms for the original Tether acquisition. It said, however, that the business has expanded in customer numbers and contract size since the deal, with a stronger focus on enterprise customers.

It added that it would invest in people as the Salesforce practice expands, including by hiring additional team members to support the expected increase in demand.
